I had an idea. What if Harry's had a newspaper-type thing? I dunno. I was just in a weird mood and I wrote a sort-of article.

Of course, I don't know how we could do it -- should we have a seperate thread just for the "paper", and another for discussion about it, or what? I'd like to interview people from Harry's on different subjects (via PMs, IM, or email). Maybe even a few other people could volunteer to be reporters, too.

I dunno. Tell me what you think.

EDIT: Shit. Me and my forum skills. I meant to post this in the suggestion board, so if someone could move it... Ehehe... ^^;;;;;

First of all, there's no way to do this except set up a separate site. I doubt Kala is going to do this. I mean, you could ask her and all, but I really doubt that it's going to go anywhere. So, unless you're going to make your own website containing a "newspaper", I don't think this is gonna happen.

If you want people to read your article,  you could just post your article in a post on the forum.

Well, I was going to do that, but I didn't want to seem presumptuous or anything... I figured I would pass it by everyone first.

Okay, well... maybe I'll post them in Dilemma and label them by numbers or whatever.... I dunno.

But thanks for the help!

Make a single thread and make a freebie website dedicated to your newspaper thingie?  It'll allow us to read it and maybe help keep Kala's bills down, since you won't be making multiple threads.  That is unless it turns into another gutter thread like almost every other thread here.  Cheesy

Hmmm... Maybe I'll post one little article I made.

I see what you mean about multiple threads... You're right about that. Maybe if I just have one thread for the updates and convos. After all, it seems that the only other thing that's strictly non-convo at Harry's is the fic quilt. Cheesy

Yay for casualty! I mean.... Casualness. Thing. Yeah.

You know, inspired by the NASIOC forum that my bro patrols, I've been thinking about hooking up a mic to my compy and doing an actual RECORDED weekly update of Harry's, just for shits and giggles.  Kind of like a summary as to what's been going on during the week...I think it'd be kind of fun.  I think I might have to try it.  XD

That'd be cool to see.  Hell, it's times like these when a speakerphone and an interview with random members would fit in. XD

Oh I agree.  I just added my two cents in what you should add to it.  I know some people here wish to know the voices of those people behind their forum names.

In lieu of the recent war, will any of us be decorated for heroism?

I only request a promotion from Harry's busboy to Bartender. afro

(Bows) Heck yeah Hobie, if they're passing out medals, I think your name would make the list.

Medals, eh?

Hmm.  I'll see what I can whip up? :x  Any ideas for what you want these medals to look like? Tongue

hmm... seeeing the war was between WHR and Magic, maybe you should use image based on the two's similarities.

fire... fire=Robin

fire=Char

fire=Sastre going bye bye

fire=giant fireball chasing people! (why didn't Robin ever try making something that massive and chuck it at her enemies? umm... it isnt that inconspicuous? look closely at the pic and you'll see the fireball's run over a few hapless victims)

bah... the medals should have pics of beer on them. cheesy

beer makes people happier than they already are.

I see them all the time on the bus. they wave to me. i wave back.

then i go to the corner and crawl into a fetal position.
